Lead climber

Job Role

We are looking for an experienced lead climber to join our team, to support us with the delivery of consistently high-quality vegetation management services to include climbing, felling, trimming, pruning and stump grinding. You will be expected to carry out work across a national remit and sometimes be required to work overtime including nights, weekends and working away.   


Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years experience working as an arborist.
  • You must hold all relevant arborist LANTRA, NPTC or  equivalent qualifications – applicants with no tickets can not be considered. 
  • Must hold a UK driving license 
  • Trailer experience is desirable 
  • CSCS qualification desirable
  • You will be self-motivated with a proactive approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem-solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirements for this role
  • You will be able to work as part of a team under the direction of a site supervisor to provide a safe and professional service to the customer
  • A general understanding of plant machinery and machine maintenance is desirable
  • You will be adaptable and flexible in approach to workload demands including being willing to work away when required
  • Good communication and people skills
  •  All applicants must be based near our Heckmondwike depot, as the workday begins and ends at this location.

Grounds Maintenance/ Boat Operative

GROUNDS MAINTENENCE/BOAT OPERATIVE

  • Job Role

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance/Boat Operative to join our team, to support us with the delivery of consistently high-quality vegetation management services on land and on waterways. Previous vegetation management experience is desirable, but full boat operative training will be provided by the company. You will be expected to carry out work across a national remit and sometimes be required to work overtime including nights, weekends and working away.   


Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Must hold a UK driving license 
  • Trailer experience is desirable 
  • For insurance purposes, all applicants must be 21 and over
  • You will be self-motivated with a proactive approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem-solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirements for this role
  • You will be able to work as part of a team under the direction of a site supervisor to provide a safe and professional service to the customer

Job Role

This role will involve working as part of a landscaping team to ensure that landscaping work is completed on time, to an excellent standard. Duties involve hard and soft landscaping, fencing and groundwork. You will be expected to carry out work across a national remit and sometimes be required to work overtime including nights, weekends and working away.   


Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years experience in hard and soft landscaping. Applicants with no experience cannot be considered.
  • Must hold a UK driving license 
  • Trailer experience is desirable

Plant Operative

Job Role

 This role will involve working as part of an operational team as a Plant Operative, ensuring all machinery and plant operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Duties will include operating a range of plant and machinery, supporting site operations, carrying out routine checks, and assisting with general site tasks as required. You will be expected to work across a national remit and may be required to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and working away.  


Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years experience operating plant machinery. Applicants with no experience cannot be considered. 
  •  Relevant plant operative certifications such as NPORS, CPCS, Lantra, or equivalent are required. 
  •  Experience operating machinery such as excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, or similar plant is desirable 
  • Must hold a UK driving license 
  • Trailer experience is desirable 
  • You will be self-motivated with a proactive approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirements for this role
  • You will be able to work as part of a team under the direction of a site supervisor to provide a safe and professional service to the customer
  • A good understanding of plant machinery and machine maintenance is essential
  • You will be adaptable and flexible in approach to workload demands including being willing to work away when required
  • Good communication and people skills
  •  Experience working in construction, utilities, recycling, landscaping, or similar sectors would be beneficial.
